Maurice Darres loves the small-town feel, community minded awareness that comes with living in the Mid-Coast town of Belfast. He was born here, so his knowledge of the area is just as good as the reputation of the Darres name. His family owned a Restaurant on Main Street for 51 years here, and made countless contributions to their beloved city of Belfast.
For a year, Maurice lived on the big island of Hawaii. It was beautiful, and captivating, but it made him realize how much he loves his hometown. Its easy-going way of life kept Maurice in the area, where he is well known for his hard work, commitment, and honesty.
With forty plus years’ experience in building, and extensive knowledge of homes he saw this as an opportunity to begin a new career. In 2010, he became a Realtor. He works alongside his wife Esther, who is the owner, and President of the agency, Maine Country and Coast Real Estate.
Maurice has watched this town evolve, and grow. He knows the history, and has been fortunate enough to watch it transform to the destination it is today.
